On Friday evening, January 12th, 2006, an
ice storm hit Missouri and other parts of the midwest with extreme force. There was widespread damage, and power outages (as
you probably know from watching/reading the news).
The following is an album of photos I shot over the course of last
week. Friday night's storm was not the last; there was another Saturday evening that was even worse. 'Wave three' hit on Sunday.
I personally lost power that Friday evening at about 11:00 p.m. I got lucky and regained power Sunday at about noon.
I lost power again on Monday the 15th, but it only stayed out from about eight thirty in the morning till around two p.m.
I have had power since Monday, but others are still without as of this writing. Thousands of people in southwest Missouri
are still without power, as a matter of fact.
